2024 Impact Report
Together, we can make a difference. From the joy of neighborhood gatherings and accessible markets, to teaching kids the importance of healthy food, and the flourishing of community gardens throughout Dane County, community involvement is the very reason Rooted exists.
Rooted is dedicated to growing community-led food systems, and we’re filled with pride for the incredible folks alongside us:
- Community gardeners ready to nurture new life.
- Teachers bringing students on field trips to inspire young minds with hands-on learning at our three educational farms.
- Kids discovering the magic of food growing from the earth.
- Emerging farmers taking bold steps forward with their business dreams.
- And nature itself is a vibrant partner – changing each season, teaching us along the way.
Looking back at our collective achievements in 2024, and forward to the opportunities and challenges of 2025 and beyond, we choose to focus on our strengths. We are rich in community, welcoming spaces, nourishing food, and powerful collaborations. We are deeply grateful for each of these.
We encourage you to dig into our 2024 Impact Report and hear the voices of our community, see the impact in numbers, and perhaps even find your own story reflected.
If you’d like to share your experience and haven’t yet, please reach out – your voice matters to us!
We couldn’t do this work without YOU.
Thank you for supporting Rooted.
“Rooted is one of the few places where we can experience the commons. Common ground where people of all walks of life: socioeconomic, racial, ethnic all can come together and participate in caring for this land, and by extension supporting each other. The commons is the heart of our democracy, it’s where people of diverse backgrounds come together and create something that is revitalizing, sustaining, and nurturing, it creates our collective well-being. We need more spaces like it.”
