Community Garden Summit

The Community Garden Summit is a three day event hosted by Rooted and UW-Madison Extension Dane County. The 2024 Summit will be held at Badger Rock Community Garden on Wednesday July 10, Madison School Farm Community Garden on Thursday July 11, and concluding at Troy Community Garden on Friday on July 12 from 5:30-8:30pm. The Community Garden Summit creates a space for community gardeners, farmers, and organizers to share ideas with each other and the broader community. This year Rooted has brought together speakers who represent the full diversity of community gardeners across Dane County, and specifically the gardeners and farmers at Troy Farm and Gardens. There will be cooking demonstrations, workshops on soil science and beneficial insects, a tour of the site, food from local vendors, and a community input session on the future of Troy Farm.
