Pizza Nights are Back!

We can’t wait to see you on Troy Farm to enjoy freshly baked pizza made with ingredients grown on the land. Pizza Nights are a great way to support Troy Farm and Gardens and Rooted’s work across Dane County. Every purchase benefits community gardens, farm-to-school programming, emerging farmers, and low-to-no-cost produce distribution. Pizza Nights are a great way to build community, enjoy your local urban farm, and support sustainable food systems.

If you’ve been to Rooted Pizza Nights in the past, there are some changes we’d like you to know about – for anyone who will be enjoying a Pizza Night with us, please read this email before ordering:

Advance purchases are required, see below for instructions. In order to stay in compliance with local licensing requirements, we need to take all food orders in advance of the event. Thanks for understanding!

We will have all dates available to reserve in advance. Orders close on Tuesday at midnight before each Thursday Pizza Night.

Why do I need to choose a pick up time? In order for us to cook your pizzas fresh and in a timely manner we need to know when you want to pick them up. Note that we will have the pizza ready within a 15-minute window surrounding your chosen time. We encourage folks to come early and stay late, hanging out on the farm is a fun part of the Pizza Night experience!

What if something changes? We’re asking folks to be thoughtful about their orders, as we will be buying ingredients and prepping pizzas in accordance with ticket sales. If you have a change in plans, you have the following options:

• Get a full refund by emailing [email protected] up to two weeks in advance of the Pizza Night.
• Move your order to another night – you must let us know by Tuesday before the purchased night, when orders close.
• Transfer the tickets to a friend – just forward the email confirmation to them, and they can show up at the planned time.
• Consider it a donation – please let us know you won’t be attending so we can save those ingredients, and know that all purchases directly benefit Troy Farm and Rooted’s work across Dane County.

What if it rains? We will hold Pizza Nights rain or shine! While we are hoping for clear skies, on rainy evenings we will still be cooking pizza for folks to pick up to take away. In the rare event of a severe weather warning cancellation, such as hail or tornado, we will notify people via email and refund the purchase.

Where can I eat my Pizza? You will receive your pizza in a box and your salad in a container. There are picnic tables and ample room to spread out on the grass, so we encourage you to bring your own blanket and/or chair. You can also take your pizza home if you like.

Are there other food options? You can add a Troy Farm salad to your order when you purchase your pizza tickets.

Are there drinks? There will be beer and lemonade to purchase a la carte at Troy Farm.

Instructions to Purchase:

1. Choose your date.
2. Order your Pizza(s) – add on gluten-free or vegan modifiers.
3. Add on salad(s) if you like.
4. Select Add to Cart.
5. On the next page, you will need to select “update pick up time” – it defaults to 4pm. Choose the time that you will be there to pick up your pizza.
6. Complete your purchase.
7. Save your email receipt, this is what you will show the team at Troy Farm on your Pizza Night.
8. Pro-tip: mark your calendar for your Pizza Night date and chosen time.
